Last updated: 2026-08-01
Grant of License
Subject to this Agreement, the developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Job Buddy, as distributed through the Chrome Web Store or other supported browser add-on stores, for your own personal or professional job-search purposes.
License Restrictions
- You may not redistribute, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense the distributed extension.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the distributed extension beyond what is separately permitted under its published open-source license.
- You may not use Job Buddy to build a competing product or service.
- You may not circumvent or bypass the Chrome Web Store or other add-on store's distribution or licensing mechanisms.
Intellectual Property Ownership
Job Buddy's source code is separately available on GitHub under the MIT License. This Agreement governs the compiled extension as installed through a browser add-on store. All intellectual property in Job Buddy, including its name and icon, remains the exclusive property of the developer. No ownership rights are transferred to you under this Agreement.
Updates and Modifications
The developer may release updates to Job Buddy at any time, which your browser may install automatically. Continuing to use Job Buddy after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes to its functionality.
No Warranty
Job Buddy is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of Job Buddy.
Termination
This license terminates automatically if you violate any term of this Agreement, or when you uninstall Job Buddy. Upon termination, you must stop using the extension and delete any local copies of it.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that nothing in this Agreement limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence, including rights guaranteed by the GDPR if you are located in the European Economic Area.
