Last updated: 2026-08-01

Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Job Buddy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

Description of Service

Job Buddy is a browser extension that reads job application forms, matches each field against a profile you create, and fills in what it can with color-coded confidence indicators. It works entirely within your browser and includes optional AI-assisted autofill, résumé import, and Cloud Backup features.

Acceptable Use

You may use Job Buddy to help complete job applications for yourself, review and correct anything it fills in, and export or back up your own profile data.

Prohibited Conduct

Intellectual Property

Job Buddy's source code is available on GitHub under the MIT License. The compiled extension as distributed through the Chrome Web Store or other browser add-on stores, along with the Job Buddy name and icon, remains the property of the developer. All profile data, résumés, and other content you enter into Job Buddy remain entirely your own property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Job Buddy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Autofill results, including AI-generated ones, are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of Job Buddy, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, rejected applications, or data loss. Total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use the extension, which is zero.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your misuse of Job Buddy or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Job Buddy at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may discontinue, modify, or stop supporting Job Buddy at any time, including by removing its listing from the Chrome Web Store or other add-on stores.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence, including rights guaranteed by the GDPR if you are located in the European Economic Area.

Changes to These Terms

If these Terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
