Who We Are

claude-compass is an open source Claude Code plugin pack, maintained by Myo Win Thein, providing slash commands for globally-minded IT/tech job seekers to discover remote-hire and visa-sponsorship countries, calculate local-market salaries, find verified job portals, and screen job descriptions against their resume. This policy covers both the claude-compass documentation site (hosted on GitHub Pages) and the claude-compass plugin itself.

What Data We Collect

Neither the documentation site nor the plugin’s commands collect, receive, or store any personal data. The documentation site is a static site with no forms, no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics or tracking scripts. When you use the plugin’s commands (/country-finder, /salary-calculator, /portal-finder, /job-screener) inside your own Claude Code or Claude Cowork session, any information you provide, such as your resume, salary criteria, or citizenship and location details, is processed entirely within your own conversation with Claude and saved only to files in your own local workspace (for example profile.md, situational-profile.md, and pipeline state files). We never receive, see, or store this data.

How We Use Your Data

Because we do not collect any personal data, there is no processing of personal data by us and no Article 6 legal basis is required on our part. Any data you enter is processed by the Claude model within your own session, governed by Anthropic’s own terms and privacy policy.

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. The documentation site is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub’s own privacy policy governs any data GitHub itself may process when you visit the site (for example, standard web server logs).

International Data Transfers

Not applicable: we do not collect or store any data, so no data leaves the EEA under our control.

Data Retention

Not applicable: we do not collect or retain any data. Files the plugin creates in your workspace (profile.md, situational-profile.md, state files, and similar) remain on your own device for as long as you choose to keep them, entirely under your control.

Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to give you access to, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to. Under GDPR Articles 15–21 you would normally have these rights over data a controller holds about you; here, there is none. If you have questions about data processed by the underlying Claude service itself, refer to Anthropic’s own privacy policy. Children’s Privacy

This project is a developer tool intended for IT/tech job seekers and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children. We do not knowingly collect data from children because we do not collect data from anyone.

Supervisory Authority

Although we do not collect personal data, if you are located in the EEA or UK and believe your data protection rights have been affected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the plugin or documentation site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
