Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the claude-compass plugin or its documentation site (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

claude-compass is an open source Claude Code plugin pack that provides four slash commands (/country-finder, /salary-calculator, /portal-finder, and /job-screener) to help IT/tech job seekers discover remote-hire and visa-sponsorship countries, calculate realistic local-market salaries, find verified job portals, and screen job descriptions against their own resume. The Service runs entirely within your own Claude Code or Claude Cowork session and depends on research and data you provide during that session.

User Accounts and Eligibility

The Service does not require an account, registration, or sign-up of any kind. You must have your own access to Claude Code or Claude Cowork, subject to Anthropic’s own terms, to use the plugin.

Acceptable Use

You may install, run, modify, and redistribute the Service in accordance with its open source license (see Intellectual Property below), and use its output to support your own job search and career research.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not: misrepresent the Service’s AI-generated output as verified fact when sharing it with others; use the Service to produce deceptive job application materials that misrepresent your qualifications; remove or obscure license or attribution notices when redistributing the code; or use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The claude-compass source code and prompts are licensed under the MIT License (see the LICENSE file in the repository) and may be used, modified, and redistributed under its terms. Any output generated for you by the plugin during your own session (profile summaries, country scores, salary tables, job-screening reports) belongs to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service’s output, including salary estimates, country scores, or job-screening verdicts, is accurate, complete, or current. See the Disclaimer document for more detail on AI-generated content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of income, profits, opportunities, or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including decisions made based on its output.

Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

Because the Service requires no account, there is nothing for us to terminate on our end; you may stop using the Service, or uninstall the plugin, at any time. We may update or discontinue the plugin or documentation site at any time.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the maintainer’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us (see Contact).

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
