End User License Agreement
Effective date: June 29, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is an agreement between you and Myo Win Thein ("the developer") governing your use of the Job Buddy browser extension ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to this EULA.
License grant
The Software's source code is made available under the MIT License at https://github.com/myowinthein/job-buddy. Subject to that license, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to:
- Install and use the Software on devices you own or control.
- Use the Software for personal, non-commercial purposes to assist with your own job applications.
- Modify and distribute the source code in accordance with the MIT License.
Restrictions
You must not:
- Use the Software to submit false or fraudulent job applications, or to impersonate another person.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright or proprietary notices included in the Software.
- Distribute modified versions of the Software under the Job Buddy name or branding in a way that implies they are the official release.
- Use the Software in any manner that violates applicable laws, regulations, or the terms of service of any platform you use it on.
Intellectual property
The Software is owned by the developer and protected by copyright law. The MIT License grants you rights to the source code; it does not transfer ownership of the Software, the Job Buddy name, or associated branding.
All data you enter into your profile remains your property. The developer makes no claim to ownership of your data.
Third-party services
The Software may interact with third-party services (Google Drive, Google Gemini API) at your direction. Your use of those services is governed by your separate agreements with those providers. The developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT IT WILL CORRECTLY IDENTIFY OR FILL EVERY FORM FIELD ON EVERY WEBSITE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, MISSED EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR ANY HARM ARISING FROM AN INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE JOB APPLICATION, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF THE DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you violate any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease using and uninstall the Software. The developer may also discontinue the Software or remove it from the Chrome Web Store at any time without notice.
Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, and limitation of liability survive termination.
Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
